Back in 1999, The Hydrogen Mexican Society (Sociedad Mexicana del Hidrógeno) was founded with the purpose of gathering those interested in hydrogen technologies as options for the future energy sector. Now, in 2011, our organization has seen how, despite the ups and downs in the technological options, hydrogen is recognized as one of the most interesting options for a clean, efficient and sustainable way of using energy. This use of energy goes from raw material for hydrogen generation, to fuel cells applications for electricity generation using hydrogen as a fuel. In these options we now see also that hydrogen is thought of as a solution for the non dispatchable renewable energy installed capacity, expected to grow in the near future around the globe.
Since its foundation The Mexican Hydrogen Society has promoted hydrogen technologies through 11 technical congresses, more than half a dozen of hydrogen technologies courses, international gatherings, and even events with the Mexican congress among other promotion events.
